Purpose of the scheme :

The main objective of this program is to provide the most essential infrastructure like accommodation for the homeless nomadic/semi-nomadic communities .The migration of people from one region to another without a proper accommodation is very disadvantaged both academically and economically. The purpose of this program is to provide accommodation for them and make them to stay in one place.

Housing Scheme Implementation:
The scheme is being implemented through the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation.
Unit Cost:
Financial aid of Rs 1,20,000/- per house has been providing by the Backward Classes Welfare Department.
Regulations :

1. When selecting beneficiaries it represents of all races of backward classes nomadic/semi-nomadic communities (should be included in current prevailing backward classes list of Category-1 and recognized as Nomadic and Semi-Tribe groups on the order dated 01-02-1966).

2. The beneficiary should not have availed accommodation by any other project or department.

3. At Least for 20 year this site should not be sold. If sold in this period, market value should be paid to Government.

4. The homeless should have their own site and the site should be registered in the name of the family women / men.

5. The terms of all housing schemes implemented by Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation apply to this scheme.

6. The total annual income of the family should be within the limit of Rs.2.00 Lakhs
